The philosophical rules deliver a rhythmic aesthetic, utilizing the form, syncopation, and improvisation found in jazz. Our quest is to allow multi-genres to shape space by analyzing the rhythm, structure, and tambour of music selected by the client to inspire their architectural design.
True to Bauhaus roots & Surrealist tendencies, JAQ understands how to design at all scales, utilize the influence of other art forms & nature while delivering Biophilic, Sustainably Rhythmic Architectonic compositions in our communities. He has completed projects inspired by Thelonius Monk, Herbie Hancock, Yolanda Adams, Robert Glasper, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Duke Ellington, Cory Henry, Chante Kahn, Stevie Wonder, Styx and Gregory Porter. He has creative relationships with Wynton Marsalis, Terri Lyne Carrington, Regina Carter, Stefon Harris, Tia Fuller, Cory Henry, DJ Gene Hunt & others.

The Creative Lead was voted onto the Illinois Environmental Council Education Board in 2020 & ULI’s Chicago Decarbonization Task Force in 2023, respectively for his unique way & track record of infusing Sustainable Systems and features into new and historic “Advanced Adaptive” projects.
JAQ is licensed, certified (ACDBE, DBE, MBE) and works in six states, but their HQ is in Bronzeville, USA. Covid proved that we can work anywhere. Thus, the Founder saw fit to recruit talent in every State the Firm is licensed.
